Using Termite Deterrents To Protect Your Home
When you own a home there are certain responsibilities that come with it – one of them is protecting the wooden structure of your home from the invasion of termites. In order to do that you will need to use Termite Deterrents which come in the form of chemicals or objects and this will prevent termites from infesting your home by gnawing into the wood in the structure of your home – this can seriously damage the very foundation of your home.
The termite deterrents that are in the form of chemicals are the most effective as they are designed in a manner in which termites are prevented from entering the wooden structure of a home. Termites are known to gnaw their way through the wood and have an attraction for damp and wet areas, so these chemicals are sprayed in crevices and under the foundation. This is a difficult task as termites are so tiny and can slip in very easily through cracks, so the damp areas need to be sprayed very skillfully to prevent termite infestation.

In 2005 there has been a study which involved the sugar pine tree. By using the sap of this tree, it was found that termites did not like the sap and stayed away from it, so this could be worth pursuing especially for those who are eco-friendly and would rather not use chemicals however effective they might be.
Termites are extremely determined and keep moving till they find their source of food which is both for themselves as well as for the entire colony. Their food is wood and the damper the better. Pest control products have been unable to come up with a natural product to cater to environmentalists. Their products are chemical which is the most effective, but not eco-friendly.
With the general population trying to battle global warming and protecting the ozone layer in order to preserve ourselves from the destruction caused by chemicals and other products that are slowly but surely poisoning the atmosphere, Termite Deterrents that are natural are not very common and this is extremely frustrating for scientists who are waging a battle against chemicals.
It would be advisable to go to your Home Improvement store and buy a termite bait that you can use to trap termites by placing them under the foundation near the wood structure and in crevices so that you can prevent termite infestation. It is not possible to go for the natural products as there are not many on the market and they are not effective, so the only way is to use chemicals from a reputed Pest Control Company.
